Nothern Beaches artist Jakey Pedro (Jacob Pedrana) is a rising star in the art world with recent exhibitions in Australia, L.A. and Costa Rica. His current body of work speaks to the wildness of the rodeo, induced by sub-tropical colouring.

Fusing bold, pastel acrylic blocks with the soft edge of an oil stick, his unruly, neo-expressionist style is full of movement and metaphor, inspired by the wildness of the Western rodeo and surf culture.
