Introduction to printmaking

During this course you’ll learn a range of introductory printmaking techniques including linocut, dry-point, collagraph and monotype.

Our experienced tutor will provide you with a thorough introduction to each printmaking method, designed especially for beginner students. 

You’ll get to take home everything you produce – proofs, print editions and the blocks or plates you create your prints from. You’ll also be provided with many tips for a well-rounded approach to developing your studio practice at home. 

Suitable for complete beginners, full instruction provided on materials, products, tools, equipment and studio procedures. 

This course takes place on Sundays over 5 weeks: 

  • Week 1: 16 June, 10am to 12:30pm 

  • Week 2: 23 June, 10am to 12:30pm

  • Week 3: 30 June, 10am to 12:30pm

  • Week 4: 7 July, 10am to 12:30pm

  • Week 5: 14 July, 10am to 12:30pm

Small class size: maximum 8 students 

Level: designed for beginner level students 16+yrs

Wear: comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes 

Bring: yourself – all materials provided
