Free Guided Bike Ride
The City is inviting community members to hear the behind the scenes stories of the City’s bike network, for free.
Join us on a leisurely 10km journey through the heart of Sydney, exploring the city's evolving bike infrastructure and cycleways.
Special guest, the City of Sydney’s manager of cycling strategy, Fiona Campbell, will share the stories of the people, advocacy and strategy behind the cycleways.
In 2023, Fiona was awarded the Committee for Sydney’s prestigious Unsung Hero award in recognition of her work that has been crucial in improving Sydney’s liveability by making the city better suited to riding bikes.
You’ll learn how decisions are made about cycleways, what cycleway projects are coming up next, and how you can contribute to making Sydney a cycle-friendly city.
You'll need:
Your own roadworthy bike and helmet
Water bottle and snacks
Sunscreen
Your sense of adventure
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Bookings required.
We encourage participants to complete the Cycling in the City course before joining a guided ride. The Cycling in the City course will equip you with the skills you need to ride in Sydney.
Guided rides are led by professional guides from Pedal Set Go on behalf of City of Sydney
