Our volunteers get hands-on working together at the farm and produce grown is donated to local charities.
Join us for a mandatory 45 minutes volunteer induction session at the farm where you will:
find out about our history
tour our cropping area, orchard and plant nursery
undertake a safety briefing.
Once you've learnt the essentials, you're eligible to attend our regular volunteer sessions and can get involved as often as you like. Please note: you need to register for each volunteer session separately. To do this, you need to set up an account in our online system JRNI to register (it's quick, easy and free).
All volunteers are required to be fully Covid-19 vaccinated unless they have a medical exemption. Email a copy of your vaccination certificate or medical exemption certificate to cityfarm@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au as a one-off requirement. View our privacy protection notification and booking terms and conditions.
Before volunteering you also need to fill in the volunteer registration form.
Once you have booked this session, book into the following volunteer session
If you have any queries or concerns, please email cityfarm@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au or call us on 02 8512 8012.
Bookings essential. No group bookings please.
Sydney City Farm volunteer induction sessions will not proceed in wet, extreme or dangerous weather and you will need to book another session
