This two-day conference brings together Indigenous scholars, creatives and allies to showcase Indigenous studies scholarship, knowledges and creative practices. Open to scholars, practitioners and community members, the program features panels, presentations and discussions on Indigenous education, Country-centred knowledge, mapping and belonging, higher degree research, energy sovereignty, media literacy and Indigenous literary leadership.
Highlights include two keynote sessions. On Day One, acclaimed author and academic Professor Tony Birch joins Professor Anna Clark for A Writing Life, a conversation exploring storytelling, literature and public history. On Day Two, Distinguished Professor Larissa Behrendt AO and Dr Archie Thomas present Power, Institutions and the Public Good, examining Indigenous leadership, public institutions and pathways towards self-determination and social change.
This conference offers a unique opportunity to engage with leading Indigenous thinkers, researchers and creative practitioners while fostering dialogue, collaboration and knowledge exchange across disciplines and communities.
