Championship races are hosted on Tuesday nights between 8pm and 9:30pm, and Thursday mornings between 7am and 8:30am.
Based in Sydney and fancy yourself a bit of a race car driver? Hyper Karting Sydney has launched its brand-new eight-week Championship, which pits racer against racer, competing for the ultimate prize of being crowned the Hyper Karting champion.
Championship races are hosted on Tuesday nights between 8pm and 9:30pm, and Thursday mornings between 7am and 8:30am. Each Championship sees 28 racers participate in a qualifying session as well as a final race, which they will be judged on.
Racers that don’t successfully qualify in a top 14 fastest final will be granted a chance at redemption, with points and prizes still up for grabs as well as a second final race. Racers are invited to compete in the Championships as often as they like between now and March 23, 2023, with points accumulating for each race and podium finish.
Not only will the Championship winner have bragging rights as the Hyper Karting champion for 2023, but the overall winner (the racer with the most accumulated points) will receive a free 12 month membership with Hyper Karting.
For the runners up, using accumulated points, they can take home prizes including go-karting helmets, free and discounted races and more.
Located on the top level of Moore Park’s Entertainment Quarter car park, the Hyper Karting team have set their sights on creating the best go karting track in Australia, bringing speed, exhilaration, and excitement for a karting experience like no other.
Hyper Karting features two tracks: the main track, Australia’s longest indoor go-karting track, is 410 metres of hairpin turns, loops, straights and just like in the Formula 1, each kart features a boost button, which, when activated gives a 10% power boost, will let you speed past rival racers. As a family friendly venue, Hyper Karting’s second track is a mini track with safety and fun in mind for smaller speed chasers, aged 3 - 7 years.
Racers are welcomed to the pits by a glaze of neon lights and engine sounds that emulate Porsches, V8 Supercars and Formula 1 cars. The karts themselves are expertly built; German-made and electrically charged, these speedsters accelerate far more swiftly than petrol go karts, enabling them to achieve higher speeds much more quickly. With better handling and evenly distributed battery weight, these electric karts make steering and the overall racing experience even smoother. A win for your race _and _for the environment!
While racing is the main event, during pit stops, racers can stay entertained by playing in the arcade area, or take a moment to enjoy a refreshing drink, as they watch teammates race the tracks at speed.
