House/Music – loscil at Hyde Park Barracks

From June to August, we’re transforming our historic houses and museum spaces through a series of intimate and diverse live music experiences.

House/Music invites you to listen deeply and be absorbed in sound. Each location – from historic halls and sprawling estates to hidden rooms and cultural spaces – brings its own distinct atmosphere and memories, letting the music resonate and shape your experience.

Soak up the sounds of some of the world’s most experimental and dynamic musicians exploring a range of genres across our sites.

Arrive early to take in the historic setting, grab a drink from the pop-up bar hosted by Redfern’s The Noble Hops and relax into new ways of listening.

This atmospheric performance will see the heritage brick walls of the Hyde Park Barracks reverberate with sound. Don’t miss this exclusive Sydney show from Canadian electronic music artist loscil. For over 20 years, Scott Morgan has built an extensive catalogue of work under the loscil moniker, spanning the genres of ambient, classical and electroacoustic music primarily for the esteemed American independent record label Kranky.

A master of spectral depth and tonal frequencies, loscil’s music layers texture and space to create immersive compositions that conjure the immense forces of the natural world and the wonder therein when we harmonise with them for a moment in time.
