80% of Australians receive unwanted gifts each year. From socks and undies to toilet brushes and plastic plants, the list is endless.
But at The Galeries, it’s pretty hard to buy a bad gift. As even the most ordinary are extraordinary.
We held a National Poll, then took the top voted ‘unwanted gifts’ and positioned them in a new light. Via a first of its kind, we used the Artificial Intelligence program, Mid Journey, and partnered with M-Lon, a local Digital Artist to turn them into objects of desire for all to enjoy on our unconventional ‘digi-tree’ on Ground Floor.
The Galeries will also be collecting donated goods on behalf of The Red Cross and encouraging customers to donate unwanted gifts incentre from Boxing Day. The funds raised from donations will go towards supporting Red Cross teams on the ground in Australia and across the Asia Pacific.
