A ripped or torn piece of clothing is a sign that it’s well-loved, not that it needs to be tossed out.
By extending the life of your clothes by 9 months, you can reduce their carbon, water and waste footprints by 20 to 30%.
In these free workshops for City of Sydney residents, you will learn easy hand sewing techniques to repair your favourite clothes including:
sew on a button
mend a hole with visible mending
hemming a garment,
The experienced teachers from Sew Make Create will guide you through the mending process. All tools and materials are provided, and you’ll receive a small sewing kit to take home for future repairs.
You must live in the City of Sydney to participate and proof of address is required. Check this map to see if you're eligible.
Covid-safe information
