Beginner sewing and repair workshops in Woolloomooloo

When

Saturday 16 July 2022 from 10:30am to 12:30pm Saturday 16 July 2022 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm

A ripped or torn piece of clothing is a sign that it’s well-loved, not that it needs to be tossed out.

By extending the life of your clothes by 9 months, you can reduce their carbon, water and waste footprints by 20 to 30%.

In these free workshops for City of Sydney residents, you will learn easy hand sewing techniques to repair your favourite clothes including:

  • sew on a button

  • mend a hole with visible mending

  • hemming a garment,

The experienced teachers from Sew Make Create will guide you through the mending process. All tools and materials are provided, and you’ll receive a small sewing kit to take home for future repairs.

You must live in the City of Sydney to participate and proof of address is required. Check this map to see if you're eligible.
