Embrace the beauty of the season and join fibre artist, Catriona Pollard for a hands-on workshop where you’ll craft a unique wreath for your home using locally foraged plants. Over two hours, this experience invites you to connect with nature as we explore the art of wreath making, using an array of gathered materials like native plants, branches, seed pods, and wildflowers.
Whether you’re a beginner or experienced maker, this workshop will guide you through wreath-making techniques while celebrating the textures and colours of the season. You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind wreath to adorn your home and the inspiration to forage and create with nature all year long. All materials will be provided, and the basis of the wreath can be used again and again. Participants are welcome to bring their own foraged finds to personalise their wreaths.

Leave with a beautiful wreath for your home
Catriona Pollard – Fibre artist and teacher
Catriona Pollard is an award-winning contemporary artist and educator specialising in sculptural basketry. Over the past decade, she has taught more than 1,000 students across Australia and internationally, guiding them to transform foraged plant fibres into expressive, organic sculptural works through weaving techniques.
Her practice is grounded in both making and teaching, with a strong focus on fostering meaningful connections between people and the natural world. Through her workshops, courses, and demonstrations, she empowers students to see the creative potential in overlooked natural materials—branches, leaves, and seedpods—while developing their own artistic voice. This teaching philosophy sits at the core of her work: using creativity as a pathway to deepen personal and collective relationships with nature. More information.
