Día de los Muertos Festival

Together, let’s honour the beautiful tradition of Dia de los Muertos – the day when life and death come together in a celebration of our loved ones!

Our Day of the Dead celebration comes alive with a day to night festival. 107 Projects has collaborated with Mexican Cultural Curators Karem Aldana and Diego Lugo to create a family friendly event that promises to be an authentic and vibrant glimpse into the rich cultural celebration of Dia de los Muertos.

The rich heritage of the celebration will be combined with modern cultural influences with a month-long program full of art, performances, Mexican food, traditional altar with an Augmented Reality (AR) experience, dance, colour, and of course, fun.

At its heart, Dia de los Muertos is all about commemoration and joy, and we will take you on a journey through the beauty of the Day of the Dead. Our celebration is an opportunity to appreciate the depth of this tradition, and we've curated an array of activities and exhibitions to help you do just that!

Daytime festival:

• Art Exhibition: Explore the captivating works of local artists with South American and Mexican heritage, each offering their unique interpretation of the Day of the Dead.

• Live Music: Victor Valdez, Magdelena Mira, and more!

• Live Performances: Mexican dancers, live painting, salsa demonstration

• Traditional Altar with AR experience: Witness the construction of a traditional ofrenda while gaining insights through augmented reality.

• Catrina Face Painting: Transform into an iconic Catrina with professional face painting, embracing the spirit of the holiday

• Celebrating Catrinas: Show off your creativity by donning your best Catrina costume

• Cultural Experiences: Engage in rituals and traditions associated with the Day of the Dead, deepening your understanding of this meaningful celebration

• Smashing of the Piñata: View the fun and joyous smashing of the pinata, and grab a few goodies as it explodes
