Cindy Yuen-Zhe Chen: Spaces to stir

Every day, 9:30am to 5pm Saturday 29 January to Sunday 13 February

For Lunar New Year, Cindy Yuen-Zhe Chen will present a newly-commissioned body of work responding to unique landscapes and stories of women-identifying diaspora.

Exploring artistic practice, aesthetics and labour, these works will be informed by discussions and interviews with women-identifying artists and friends of Chen.

Presenting a bespoke exhibition comprised of video, sound and installation, Spaces to Stir will amplify the quiet and considered lived experiences of the artist.

Covid-safe information

This event follows the Covid Safety plan established by Australian National Maritime Museum: https://www.sea.museum/covid-19-update/covid-19-information-for-visitors

It is a condition of entry to the Australian National Maritime Museum that all persons aged 16 years and over either:ย 

  • are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and present suitable evidence of this; orย 

  • present a medical contraindication certificate from a medical practitioner, in the form approved by the NSW Chief Health Officer.ย 

  • wear a mask when indoors

Suitable evidence which will be accepted by the Museum includes an online immunisation history statement, a COVID-19 digital certificate from the Australian Immunisation Register or information displayed on the Service NSW mobile phone application.

QR code check-in's are mandatory.

Any visitor who presents unwell, even if with mild symptoms, will be excluded from entering the Museum. All Museum workers have undergone COVID-19 Safety training and a COVID marshal will be on site to monitor safety procedures.
