If your child has outgrown a favourite old t-shirt, there’s no need to throw it away. Bring it along to this 1.5 hour school holiday workshop where they’ll transform it into a basket.
Perfect for children aged 8 to 11, this creative workshop involves cutting up old t-shirts of any size and colour and learning weaving basics.
The teachers from Reverse Garbage will show them how easy upcycling can be and change the way they think about ‘waste’.
Children will leave with their own unique basket and lots of upcycling inspiration. No sewing or experience is needed.
Parents or guardians must sign in for children, stay in the library for the duration of the activity and collect children at the end of the session.
You must live in the City of Sydney to participate and proof of address is required. Check this map to see if you're eligible.
Suggested age: 8 to 11 years
Skill level: Suitable for complete beginners. Using fabric scissors will be required
