Join British photographer Simon Harsent in a dynamic conversation with well-known radio host Robbie Buck.

Harsent’s career has spanned three continents over a 30-year period. Beginning his career in London, he has since lived in New York and Sydney, where he has worked as a filmmaker, commercial photographer and fine art photographer.

Harsent’s work is internationally recognised, with his first monograph, Melt: portrait of an iceberg, published in 2009 to critical acclaim. Harsent will be exhibiting in this year’s Head On Photo Festival with an intriguing series of images called The locals, visions from a 1970s London pub that were all created using AI. Harsent is interested in the paths we take, the journeys they lead us on and how our past affects our future.

A recording of this talk will be available online as a free and exclusive benefit to current members of the Art Gallery of New South Wales in the coming months.

Presented in conjunction with Head On Photo Festival.
