5:45pm: Doors open 6 - 7pm: Presentation by AllClear team + Q&A 7 - 7:30pm: Informal networking with the AllClear team
Join us to learn about the AllClear study, running at St Vincent's Hospital and St Vincent's Private Hospital in Darlinghurst.
Breast cancer cells can spread from the breast and hide in the body in a "sleeping" state, sometimes for years. If they wake up, they can form new tumours — the leading cause of death from breast cancer. AllClear collects tissue samples and health information from early breast cancer participants to understand how these sleeping cells hide, why current treatments don't always stop them, and how we can develop new treatments to eliminate them.
The session includes an overview of what taking part involves, followed by a Q&A with the study team and patient advocates.
Everyone welcome — patients, carers, medical professionals and the general public.
