A Streetparty Named Fitz

Join us at The Old Fitzroy's summer street party.

Held in support of the independent Old Fitzroy Theatre, it promises an unforgettable day of music, performance, and celebration.

We'll be taking over Dowling Street, and the street party will feature a stage with live performances, including Murray Cook's Soul Movers (as in, Murray Cook from The Wiggles), live performances by The Old Fitz Theatre cast, and none other than Aunty Johnny on the decks throughout the afternoon.

Beyond the entertainment, indulge in our outdoor BBQ – a classic Cajun cookout with smoked meats and Jambalaya. Our pop-up street-side bars will serve up refreshing Australiana-inspired cocktails created by Matt Whiley (Re), Evan Stroeve (The Waratah, RHUBI Mistelle), and Eduardo Conde (_Diageo 2023 Australian World Class Bartender of the Year, El-Primo Sanchez) i_n contribution to the cause; with support from local spirits partner, Four Pillars Gin. Finally, Mapo Gelato's Mapo Bus will be stationed street-side to treat guests to the city's premier gelato.

As we celebrate the relationship between The Old Fitz Hotel and The Old Fitz Theatre, the event will offer a sneak peek into the Theatre's 2024 productions. We invite guests to contribute to the Theatre's future, and will have donation stations set up in order to do so, together with fundraising activities.

The day promises to be a quintessential Aussie summer party, embodying the spirit of community, live performance, and the arts in Sydney's cultural fabric.
