Saturday 6 May 2023 from 11am to 4pm
This is the first day of the annual opening. The memory of last year is lingering in the air as if it happened yesterday.
Yesterday Once more.
ABOUT THE HEADLAND ARTISTS
The Headland Artists is a thriving artistic community situated in a cluster of historic military buildings, overlooking the entrance to Sydney Harbour in Mosman.
Once the home of the Borogegal people, for almost 150 years the headland was a strategic military post used for the protection of Sydney Harbour with fortifications and barracks.
Now the old army buildings have been converted into the Headland Park Artist Precinct, with 20 working artists' studios, 3 art schools, and Coburn's Art Conservation with painters, sculptors, potters and photographers working together as a community.
Surrounding the artists' studios are bush-walking tracks with dappling water views, historic fortifications and the delightful Frenchy’s Café.
There is also a sculpture garden of large sculptures.
The beautiful park and surrounds are managed by the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust.
When & Where to meet: 11 am Frenchy’s Café
Lunch Break: 1:00-2:00 pm at the Frenchy’s Café again.
