This fun and dynamic drama workshop was uniquely designed by the facilitator to be taught online with young people aged 12-18 years old. Participants will be introduced to the craft of performance-based storytelling through improvisation, devising, and creative play. No performance experience is required.
Zoe Tomaras is an interdisciplinary artist with a strong desire to improve the lives of young people through the creative arts. She has years of academic and practical training, which includes an Advanced Diploma in Stage and Screen Acting (AFTT), as well as a Master of Media Arts and Production (UTS). As well as standard voice, movement and performance skills, her specialities as a teacher include creative play, games, improvisation, devising, script analysis, film, and directing. She prides herself on creating an accessible space where students feel safe and supported. Zoe has facilitated classes for companies all over Sydney, including Parramatta Actors Centre, PYT Fairfield, and Shopfront Arts Co-op. She is an active member of Sydney’s arts industry, working professionally as an actor, theatre-maker, and director.
Due to NSW Health restrictions, the Youth school holiday program will be held on online. The Zoom link and password will be emailed to participants after booking.
Devices will need Zoom app downloaded. Participants will need access to speakers, a microphone and a camera.
