Year 5-6 in on the act: April Aardvark drama workshop

These holidays, ATYP is diving back into our library to give students a chance to spend a week immersing themselves in one of ATYP’s plays for 10-13-year olds.

This time we are going back to 2019 with April Aardvark. Read the play, choose your favourite scenes and monologues then discover how to create truthful characters and performances. Work on articulation, projection and how to hold an audience’s attention.

Guided by an experienced ATYP Teaching Artist, you will learn about the elements of drama including script analysis, establishing subtext, clarifying intention, sharing focus and building tension. 

Making use of interactive online programs, school holiday workshops bring the drama experience to your living room, kitchen, backyard or wherever! Students will still get the chance to connect with an ATYP artist and their fellow classmates each day to create, express and perform.

Classes will be held using Google Classroom and Zoom platforms.
