Women's Guided Ride: Green Square to Coogee Beach

When

Sunday 26 November 2023 from 10am to 1pm

Women's Free Guided Ride: Green Square to Coogee Beach Loop.

This guided ride to the beach is at a relaxed pace, with a round trip of approximately 19km. You will have time to get to know the other women, chat, and enjoy a coffee or ice cream before the return journey to Green Square. The low-pressure route follows the historic tram route to avoid the steepest of the hills.

This guided ride is for women wanting to learn bicycle-friendly routes to navigate their city. We ride at a leisurely pace, giving you time to see sights, take photos, and speak with the guides and other riders.

Riding is about building connections, not just the ride. Make friends, exchange stories, and learn how to plan your own journeys.

If you are a new rider or haven’t ridden in a while, we highly recommend you do a City of Sydney Cycling in the City course prior to joining this extended ride with some traffic.

This guided ride will be led by friendly, women ride leaders from Pedal Set Go.

You'll need:

  • Your own roadworthy bike and helmet, with tyres pumped

  • Working brakes and gears are essential, so consider a free tune up prior to the ride.

  • Water bottle and snacks

Please arrive at 9:45am for a 10:00am start.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and in an appropriately fitted child seat or trailer.

Bookings required.

We encourage participants to complete the Cycling in the City course before joining a guided ride. The Cycling in the City course will equip you with the skills you need to ride in Sydney.
