Come on for an art tour of Waterloo art galleries with AAA

Time to return to Waterloo, another art territory with many mysteries.

Darren Knight Gallery

One of the most approachable gallerists in town, it is Darren Knight’s astute eye that has kept his eponymous gallery in business since 1992.

He set up shop in Melbourne before relocating to Waterloo, Sydney in 1997. Averaging 16 shows per year (excluding art fairs) the gallery holds two exhibitions across two floors every 5 weeks, with openings on Saturdays, and the occasional artist talk or musical performance.

Often quirky or droll, without any pretence and always backed by artistic prowess, Knight’s exhibitions never fail to delight.

Utopia Art Sydney

A gallery committed to the representation of a small group of Australian artists. These include leading members of Papunya Tula Artists, Gloria Petyarre from Utopia and non-Indigenous artists from Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra. Our reputation as one of the leading Indigenous art galleries owes much to the fact that all our artists are represented equally.

Its fine art exhibits and represents both emerging and recognised contemporary artists.

A gallery showcases a range of contemporary art from talented international and Australian artists, with galleries in Melbourne and Sydney.

12:30--1:30pm, lunch at George Hotel Waterloo.

1:45--2:30 pm, Studio Gallery.
