In Deities of Daily Needs, Vipoo Srivilasa’s playful, spirited collection of ceramic figurines celebrates the everyday challenges we all face. Each deity, from the Parking Deity to the Instagram Deity, is crafted with humour and care, offering its own little solution to life’s minor annoyances. Whether it’s finding a perfect parking spot or boosting your online presence, these deities are here to serve.

Paying homage to those who have found joy in his work – students, teachers, fellow artists – he builds upon the collaborative energy of the clay world in this latest show. A vibrant pantheon of helpers for the modern world, we are invited to recognise the joy in little things and their importance in daily life.

As an interactive installation, Srivilasa invites you to come to the gallery with your everyday woes and make offerings to the daily deities. Who knows? They could hear your wish!
