Dive into the imaginative world of steampunk and sustainable art in this hands-on workshop where junk comes to life! Using recycled materials, discarded gadgets, scrap plastics, and all manner of odds and ends, you'll create your very own mechanical fish with a fantastical twist.
Guided by a local artist, participants will learn basic techniques in sculpture, assemblage, and creative reuse. Whether you're crafting a sleek mechanical trout with copper fins or a deep-sea angler with glowing eyes and gear-powered gills, your creation will be a one-of-a-kind fusion of industrial charm and aquatic inspiration.
Perfect for makers, tinkerers, and anyone who loves steampunk, sustainability, or just getting a little messy in the name of creativity.
No prior experience needed. Just a sense of adventure (and maybe a love for fish with goggles).
This workshop is facilitated by local artist Emma, a self-taught mixed media artist with a love of creating and waste reduction.
