Thursday 20 March from 6pm to 10pm

For one night only on March 20, 2025 at the National Art School’s Cellblock Theatre, Barnardos will be holding their annual fundraising art show, the Unbound Art Show.

This mixed-media event will focus on local emerging artists, whilst also showcasing established names in the art world, including Antoinette Ferwerda, Gemma O'Brien, George Hall, Kitiya Palaskas, Bobby Clark, and Mike Staniford.

Art enthusiasts can look forward to a carefully curated exhibition featuring never-before-seen pieces across a variety of mediums, including sculpture, photography, paint on canvas, and prints. With something to please diverse tastes and budgets, this event will captivate both seasoned collectors and casual art lovers alike.

The exhibition theme, ‘Horizons of Hope’ embodies Barnardos passion to provide support in the present so that together, we can shape a brighter future for children, young people and families without a place to call home. It reflects our commitment, especially in these challenging times, to creating a lasting impact that opens the door to limitless potential for those we support. Through art and the dedication of our local community, we strive for a future where children reach adulthood with ambitions beyond simply finding a roof over their heads and food to eat.

Together, we can turn creativity into a lifeline for those in need.

Online auction will be live on March 6.

Ticket includes:

  • A $50 voucher that can be put towards the purchase of art via our online auction*

  • Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic)

  • Gourmet canapes

  • Live music and entertainment

All proceeds will go to Barnardos Australia safety and prevention programs. With a growing number of young people at risk of becoming homeless due to family violence and abuse, Barnardos is working towards a future where every young person is safe and secure.

18+ only event.

*The $50 voucher will be credited to the purchaser at the conclusion of the online auction via the online auction site Gala Bid. No physical gift voucher is provided; your ticket is the voucher. The voucher can not be exchanged or used for any other purchase. It is strictly for the purchase of artwork listed on the auction site.
