The Historical Atlas of Sydney is one of the most highly used parts of the Archives & History Resources catalogue. This talk by archivist Susan Kennedy will guide you through how to access the key maps and map series held from the 19th and 20th centuries and will teach you about Council’s changing boundaries and wards.

This series of short talks showcase the types of items in our archives, history and civic collections and shows you how to find them in the catalogue. Each talk will be followed by a Q&A session. Book in for one, or all six!
The City Archives is one of the premier archival collections in Australia and a rich resource for exploring Sydney’s history. In February 2020, the City released a new catalogue which provides unprecedented access to the archival collection. Recently, for the very first time, a selection of items from the Civic Collection have been added to the catalogue.
