The Sydney Teapot Show has been an annual event for the past 31 years. A competition and exhibition with the aim to challenge ceramicists to make a functional teapot displaying the creativity of the individual maker.

Awards are sponsored and prizes given for each category as well as the Supreme Teapot prize, Best in Show, the Best Pourer and the People's Choice. This year categories include Science Fiction teapot, Shakespeare inspired teapot and an Australian Archaeology teapot. Visitors to the gallery love to cast votes for their favourite – always a difficult choice!

This event is part of the Sydney Craft Week Festival 6-15 October 2023.

SCW is an Australian Design Centre initiative. View the complete festival program.
