Portugal’s position, stretched out along the Atlantic Ocean on the western side of the Iberian Peninsula, has shaped the country’s culture, architecture and history.

You’ll journey from cosmopolitan Lisbon and its nearby resort town Sintra with its magnificent palaces to the medieval old town of Coimbra and the ancient town of Porto. Join Lorraine Kypiotis in this lecture and explore the gastronomic delights, cultural gems and magnificent landscapes of Portugal.

Lorraine Kypiotis lectures in art history at the National Art School where she is the head of undergraduate studies. She holds a Master of Arts from the University of Sydney in Renaissance studies and has just completed a PhD in fine arts.
