The Pet Portrait Workshop with Lizzy Simunovic

The Pet Portrait Workshop is a fun and engaging day of drawing and painting for 7-12 year olds. Animal pictures will be provided, however, students are encouraged to bring along a photo of their pet or favourite animal.

Students will learn about how to draw a range of animal features and engage in animal cartooning. They will use acrylic paint to mix suitable pet colour blends and use brushes and palette knives for painting techniques to build up animal body textures.

These experiences will help the students make creative choices for their own pet or animal portrait on a 30cm x 40cm stretched canvas which they will paint and complete on the day. Material cost included.
