Guided by sculptor Richard Byrnes this concise one-day workshop is filled with advice to provide the skills to model both a head and torso in clay. Special attention is paid to the features of the face and to the proportions of the body.
Source material is provided that will further the students understanding of the topography and masses of the human body . Instruction is provided to prepare works for drying and kiln firing at a later date .
No previous sculpture experience is required . All tools , clay and firing costs are included. Beginners welcome.
