Adi is an up-and-coming artist from a creative arts high school, with big dreams to study musical theatre interstate. They are a self-described “queer, povvo, mixed artist”. When they meet Dylan, a boy from an elite private school, their whole world gets turned upside down.

A romance emerges between two most unexpected people. Dylan however is quite hesitant to explore his sexuality, a stark comparison to Adi’s flamboyant and open nature. The two reckon with what it means to be a young person in the world today navigating friendships, schooling, expectations, and pressures in their search for belonging and acceptance.

Winner of the 2024 Queensland Theatre Young Playwright’s Award.
