Join the Anzac Memorial for a special series of Sydney Open talks on Sunday, 6 November presented by the Memorial’s curatorial staff.

In this talk, historian Brad Manera presents on a recent donation of treasured family heirlooms to the Anzac Memorial that reveal a remarkable drama of desperate courage by the pilot of a crippled heavy bomber during the Second World War.

The young man from the Sydney suburb of Pagewood earned one of the rarest decorations to the RAAF. Visit the Memorial to see the original souvenirs, documents and photographs that tell the heroic and tragic story.
