On Sunday 28 July 2024, Sydney Destash Market will be hosting a fabric swap!
What is a Fabric Swap?
A fabric swap is a fun and eco-friendly event where fabric enthusiasts come together to exchange pieces of fabric they no longer need. It's a great way to refresh your fabric collection, find unique materials for your projects, and meet like-minded crafters.
How Does It Work?
Gather Your Fabrics: Select up to three pieces of fabric from your stash that you’re ready to part with. Make sure each piece is at least 0.5 meters in size and in good condition.
Register and Submit: Bring your fabrics to one of our registration events—either on 21 July or on the day of the swap, 28 July. Hand in your fabrics, and we’ll add them to our swap collection.
Swap Day: Come back on 28 July between 10 and 11am and dive into the wonderful array of fabrics others have brought. For each piece you donated, you get to pick a new piece to take home. It’s that simple!
Leftovers: At the end of the day, any remaining fabrics will be available for purchase at $10 per bag, with all proceeds going to the not-for-profit organization Days for Girls. Any fabrics not sold will be donated to the Sewing basket.
Join us for a delightful day of swapping, chatting, and discovering beautiful new fabrics!
Is there a cost to participate in the swap?
We ask that all participants make a gold coin donation with all proceeds from the day going to the not-for-profit organization Days for Girls.
