Looking for the best things to do in Sydney for foodies? INDU and The Modern Desi have collaborated to create an exciting series of cooking experiences!
Over a few hours on a Saturday lunchtime, you will get the opportunity to informally learn to cook some of the INDU classics. This class is predominantly demonstration-based but you and others in your group will be invited into the kitchen to help prepare a range of different dishes.
You will also learn about the ingredients that are the heart of Sri Lankan and Indian cooking and share a few stories and laughs with your fellow lunch companions.
Below are some examples of dishes you may cook on the day:
Ammas Dal
Lemon and cashew rice
Eggplant Moju
Chicken Xacuti
Jackfruit Xacuti
Beetroot Raita
Once the cooking is finished, you will enjoy a feast over lunch and a few glasses of wine, as you connect with those around you at the table. The best part? No cooking experience is needed and anyone can come along to learn how to cook these popular dishes.
At the end of this cooking class, you will take home a recipe booklet and a range of notes from the class.
