Explore the essential principles of characterisation.

This digital workshop offers starting points for building a character through practical activities and gives students the chance to engage with professional techniques to explore performance.

During the workshop you will be introduced to:

  • some of the tools available to an actor when starting to explore a character,

  • the process of breaking down a script to discover character,

  • the elements of building a physical character and

  • the role of physicality and internal motivations for characterisation

Primary: ages 10 – 12 years old (Years 4, 5 & 6)
