Sam Coren – Tools To Build Worlds

When

Monday 2 September 2024 from 4pm to 5pm

Week 1: 2-6 September, 4pm-7pm Week 2: 9-13 September, 10am-5pm

This two-week creative workshop/development will comprise of teaching tools to the participants to control their narrative theatrically and create innovative, complex textures in movement material. Then using these tools to work on bringing an idea to life in a short creation, culminating in a sharing.

Sam’s practice mixes theatrical ideas from mask, mime and clowning with his dance experience to create works that are physically complex, darkly humoured and ever so occasionally insightful.

Most importantly I hope the participants leave the process with a sense of enjoyment, if we learn a little something about movement, performance, creation, confidence and comedy along the way, then that’s a bonus.
