Tears and Triumph

Much time is spent by characters in opera crying – over a broken heart, a lost love, a failed enterprise, spilt milk. Likewise, characters gloat or celebrate their triumphs, or what they think are triumphs – soon their hopes may be dashed and they end up in tears. So too, some of the crying characters find things aren't as bad as they thought and they end up in triumph! Join Opera Bites as we explore the highs, lows, dramas and deceits of your favourite operatic characters and the wonderful music that brings them to life.

Early bookings are highly recommended as our Opera in the Pub events regularly sell out.
