Tuesday 26 March 2024 from 12pm to 2pm
Gear up for a special lunch at NSW Parliament House that combines passion, purpose, and the power of running! Hear from our inspirational keynote speaker, ultra-marathon legend Pat Farmer. Pat is renowned not only for his extraordinary running feats but also for his commitment to running for a cause and making a difference.
Anyone interested in Pat Farmer, Lions Australia, or simply running 'for a cause' is welcome to attend to support fundraising for those in need.
Pat has been helping Sydney runner Sari-Elle Kraemer, who has set herself a goal of running the World’s Highest Marathon to raise awareness and funds for the life-changing work Lions Clubs do with the assistance of the Australian Lions Foundation. 100% of all funds raised at the lunch will be donated to Australian Lions Foundation.
Throughout his exceptional 30-year running career, Pat has broken world records and created some of his own. He has run across Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, India, and North America and has accomplished some of the greatest feats on Earth.
Pat famously ran over 20,000 km from the North Pole to the South Pole via Canada, America, Central America, and South America. His pole-to-pole run took 10 months and 13 days. Pat ran every day, averaging 80 km a day.
Over his running career, he has raised millions of dollars for important causes and has been awarded the high honour of the Order of Australia (AM) for his contribution to ultra-marathon running, politics, and charitable works.
Join Pat in supporting this important cause and help Sari-Elle reach her goal of raising $120,000 for the Australian Lions Foundation.
Tickets include a two-course lunch catered by Strangers Restaurant. Purchase individual tickets or a corporate table.
