Artist talk on 20 April 2-4pm

Our desires and notions of necessity become clear as we explore concepts of beauty and warmth, while also confronting our traumatic histories. As we venture into the natural environment, we begin to see more authentic versions of ourselves, forging new beginnings that bridge the gap between our external personas and our innermost being. Utilizing diverse styles and concepts, four abstract artists delve into the varying paths of the human journey, engaging our emotions, senses, and perceptions.

In the quest for equilibrium, we delve deeper into the sensory experiences of the world, prompting us to forge more significant connections with the greater world and to question the true nature of balance between chaos and order. Working with mediums such as muslin, oil, acrylic, and oil pastel, these artists reassess a constantly evolving world, aiding in our rediscovery of the complexities that define humanity. They depict these odysseys with an expansive palette – from the serene soft hues of pink that suggest tranquillity to the vivid greens that immerse us in the natural world.

We begin to notice colours that we might otherwise overlook or undervalue, and as our distorted views come into focus, they start to make sense and gain new significance. It's in the journey through abundant fields, rich with life and warmth, that we fully appreciate the vibrancy and splendour of the world. Humanity is finally able to comprehend the natural world, achieving a true balance that allows for coexistence. In this state, we often discover sudden enlightenment under the profound universal forces that shape each individual.
