In this hands-on workshop students will be introduced to the app interfaces creation and editing menus and will set Procreate preferences to ensure maximum efficiency in their drawing workflow. They will discover the power of gesture controls and will learn the uses of different brush sets, ways to use the individual brushes to create different mark-making results for specific end uses and shown various ways to further manipulate them artistically.
They will be learn how to set up their own canvas types both as plain and also representing textured paper. They will be shown the benefits of working in layers for drawing and will also discover how to resize and crop existing canvases and how to save and share their work in a range of formats. By the end of the workshop the students will have created a digital drawing using a range of Procreate skills and be equipped to use this app in their future creative practice.

An iPad and Apple Pencil and the design app Procreate installed on the IPAD (it only costs $20).
