Meet the author Anna Burns presenting her inspiring book ’Resilience’ a powerful family story of strength and resilience following three generations of women from the onset of the First World War till the present. The power of the human spirit despite the unthinkable pages of history across decades and continents, from Siberia, the mass graves in Katyń to the shores of Australia.

The author will also share a display of unique historical memorabilia of original photos, her mother’s diary from 1939-1945, and the original last letter and postcard sent by Anna’s grandfather from Katyń.

Emotional and real but uplifting experience of powerful storytelling.

A book signing will be available on the day.

This event will be held in the Gallery Room of the Mitchell Library building.
