Back by popular demand! Get your hands working and help shape your own clay creation in the museum these school holidays. Learn about the way artists and craftspeople have used clay in the past and contemporary practices.

Join us for a special school holiday session in which young artists are invited to explore ceramics in the museum from the ancient world to contemporary works today in our exhibition Kerameikos. Learn how potters made and decorated objects for both practical and decorative reasons and how they used clay to shape their world. Even toys were once made from clay not plastic.

Participants then will create and decorate their own clay creature to take home with them and will undertake other fun creative activities during the workshop.

Suitable for children aged 7-12.

Parental and/or guardian supervision required.
