Story Time at the Museum – Coomaditchie Dreaming
Join us for a relaxed and fun story time session followed by a craft activity inspired by Dreaming stories of the Illawarra region.

Drawing Memory
Take part in a free drop-in drawing activity inspired by Dennis Golding’s artwork Cast in cast out. Kids will use memories of home in this fun activity that will unlock their creativity and imagination.

Drop-in activities
Try your hand at these free drop-in activities each Saturday, and every day during the July school holidays.
Have fun in the garden playing quoits, a popular 19th-century game. Make a mini greenhouse to take home. Or step back in time to experience what it was like to do the laundry the old-fashioned way – by hand, without a washing machine!

Hyde Park Barracks Kids’ Trail
Come on an adventure through time at the Hyde Park Barracks with a tailored audio guide and activity trail for kids. Hear the fascinating story of the Barracks as told by some of the convicts and immigrants who lived there, plus listen for clues and complete some fun activities as you move through the museum – spot the rats, draw your own convict tattoo and more!
Suitable for kids 5-12 years.

Justice & Police Museum Kids’ Trail
Explore the Justice & Police Museum to uncover stories from Sydney’s original Water Police station and courts, located at Circular Quay. Complete fun activities to earn your police badge! Suitable for kids aged 5-12 years.
