Personalised Trinket Bag Workshop

Where
30 Carrington Rd
Marrickville NSW 2204
Australia
When

Saturday 24 May from 2pm to 5pm

In this workshop, you will learn how to transform your old denim jeans into a unique upcycled bag filled with your cherished trinkets and memories.

Throughout the class, you will be guided on how to design and create your one-of-a-kind bag that truly represents you. Using secondhand fabrics, embellishments, and materials, we will repurpose items to create something special and environmentally friendly.

  • Bring along a pair of denim jeans in your preferred colour to determine the shade of your bag.

  • Collect trinkets that hold nostalgic memories and represent moments in your life for personalisation.

  • Decide on the design elements such as using the whole pair of jeans for a long satchel bag or opting for a tote bag with strap handles.

  • Enhance your bag with a chain belt for attaching trinkets and choosing between window pockets or mesh pockets.

Throughout the workshop, you will have the opportunity to add embellishments like name/word lettering, heart keychains, photo keychains or patches, metal studs, buttons, ribbons, and more to create a truly individualised piece.

By the end of the class, you will have a beautifully upcycled denim bag filled with your personal treasures, ready to accompany you through your day, serving as a nostalgic and expressive accessory.

This is a small intimate class to hone in on upcycling skills and make connections with other individuals who share your creative and eco-friendly passion.
