Wednesday 3 November 2021 from 12pm to 1:30pm

Hong Kong is fast-becoming known as a global innovation and technology hub with five R&D centres, focused on bringing innovations to commercialisation.

Positioning itself as the post-pandemic gateway to China and ASEAN, Hong Kong offers various venture capital funds for start-ups, as well as initiatives and funding schemes to develop innovation and technology infrastructure, and boost research and development. Services are also available from the Hong Kong SAR government for commercialisation.

How can you leverage the resources and support in Hong Kong to turn research outcomes into commercial opportunities and successfully grow your start-up? Join this free webinar to find out the answers.

You will receive valuable updates from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Invest Hong Kong, and the Innovation and Technology Commission in Hong Kong about

  • innovation and technology landscape in Hong Kong,

  • opportunities for research and development (R&D) and commercialisation in Hong Kong, and

  • assistance from Invest Hong Kong

You will learn from The Chinese University of Hong Kong about how to collaborate with Hong Kong institutions on knowledge transfer and commercialization.

You will have practical advice from Prof Xiaoke Yi at The University of Sydney, an inventor of a ground-breaking breath ketone analyser for a tech start-up, on how the start-up has grown network, attracted resources and overcome challenges turning invention ideas into commercial products.
