Nowruz 2023

When

Saturday 18 March 2023 from 10am to 5pm

Powerhouse is celebrating Nowruz in direct partnership with the Afghan, Iranian, Parsi, Tatar and Uyghur communities.

The program includes various communities through cultural talks, folk music, traditional arts such as dance, poetry and storytelling. A traditional Persian Haftsin table will be on display in the Powerhouse café from March 18 – April 2. Meet a Persian grandmother who will share stories and explain the significance of the Haftsin table to Nowruz. During this time the cafe will also offer a Persian menu prepared by Shila Kitchen.
