Get ready for an adventure with nature photographer Tom Covell!

After a special visit to the new Bloodsuckers exhibition, you'll meet incredible live animals up close, including bloodsuckers like leeches and ticks, plus cockroaches, spiders and scorpions, then learn how to capture them on camera like a pro.

Tom will teach you how to frame the perfect shot, use lighting and angles, and work with shadows to make your photos pop, then you'll head across the street to the gardens for a real nature photography expedition.

Whether you're photographing tiny insects or towering trees, you'll discover how to see the natural world through a photographer's lens and take home skills you can use anywhere.

Please bring your own camera, tablet or phone to use during the workshop. We will have some iPads available to borrow on the day if required.

Suitable for ages 9 - 12 years.
