From 1942 to 1944, Fred Zeckendorf was incarcerated in Theresienstadt ghetto, where he painted scenes of the ghetto’s landscape, the people, and daily life.

His work is currently on display in the Sydney Jewish Museum’s picture gallery, telling the story of life in the ghetto.

Hear from three Theresienstadt survivors, Paul Drexler, Tom Fleming, and Litzi Lemberg, as they respond to Zeckendorf’s work and share their memories of life inside the ghetto.
