Survivor Reflections: Lucy Chladek

Sunday 19 May | 2.30pm | In-person

General admission $25 | SJM Members $15

Lucy Chladek was born in 1937 in Budapest, Hungary. She was only seven years old when the Germans invaded and recalls being forced to buy a yellow star from a fabric shop.

She also remembers her family later being crammed into a building with lots of other Jewish families, where she slept on an old couch that was crawling with bugs.

Join us in the Museum for an inspiring conversation between Lucy and the Museum Educator Erin O’Brien. Learn about Lucy’s life before, during and after the war, as well as her ongoing experiences as a child survivor of the Holocaust.
