Liz Williamson is a weaver working and living on Gadigal and Wangal lands in the Inner West and her studio will be open during the Sydney Craft Week 2023.
Visit Liz’s studio for insights into her practice, demonstrations of weaving on a floor loom and a discussion on the time involved in weaving and handmade work. The studio sale will include wraps and scarves woven in her studio and pieces made in collaboration with others. As Liz has had a long engagement with artisan groups in India through her Cultural Textiles tours, the sale will include wraps, scarves and fabric lengths from her Liz Williamson: Asian Selection range – embroidered, woven, dyed and printed textiles handmade by skilled Indian artisans.
Also available will be yarns, magazines, catalogues, books and equipment, all excess to studio requirements, some for sale, some free.
This event is part of the Sydney Craft Week Festival 6-15 October 2023.
SCW is an Australian Design Centre initiative. View the complete festival program.
