Join film critic CJ Johnson for a three-part lecture series as he uncovers the astonishing 40-year film career of Ingmar Bergman.

In the 1960s, Hollywood broke away from its production code and embraced the freedoms of European cinema. Join film critic CJ Johnson as he examines the extraordinary movements and radical advances in global cinema throughout this revolutionary decade, celebrating films and filmmakers across continents, genres and styles.

In this three-part lecture series, discover the iconic films of Costa-Gavras, Jacques Demy, Michelangelo Antonioni, Federico Fellini, Alfred Hitchcock and George Romero among others, and learn how they pushed boundaries, broke records and changed the status quo.

CJ Johnson is a commentator with ABC Radio. He is the president of the Film Critics Circle of Australia, head lecturer in screen storytelling and cinema studies at Sydney Film School and a voting member of the Golden Globes.
